Hi! I’m Mary

A therapist who loves her clients and her job.

I provide ongoing Person Centred therapy within the Greater Glasgow area and online.

I have spent the majority of my career within the helping profession beginning with a variety of roles in the health and social care field before retraining as a therapist in 2015. Throughout my training I have had the opportunity to provide counselling in many different settings including the voluntary sector and the NHS. I started my own therapy practice in 2020 and have run it full time for the past 5 years.

My work as a therapist is informed by both my academic training in Psychology and Counselling as well as my own personal struggles in striving for good mental health. I try to combine my theoretical knowledge of what can help, with my own experience of Life’s challenges and how overwhelming our difficulties can often seem. I myself have benefited greatly from therapy and as a result have developed an ongoing, lifelong interest in psychological health and wellbeing. I believe my own personal insight is key to my effectiveness as a therapist as it adds a level of understanding and respect for my clients that cannot be gained through training alone.

I have experience working with a broad range of issues but I have a special heart for those who carry their struggles quietly—people who may seem "fine" on the outside but feel overwhelmed inside. If that sounds like you, you’re not alone, and I’d like to help.
